Morristown Fireworks Postponed Ahead Of America 250 Celebration

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A fireworks display planned for this weekend in Morristown has been postponed due to the weather forecast, town officials announced.
The fireworks had been scheduled for Saturday at dusk as part of Living History Weekend, a celebration marking America's 250th anniversary.
The cancellation was due to the impending nor'easter that is expected to sweep through the Garden State this weekend.

"The safety of our residents, families, and guests is our top priority," town officials said in announcing the postponement.

A new date has not yet been announced. Officials said they hope to reschedule the fireworks soon and will release additional details once plans are finalized.
The display was slated to be visible from three locations around Morristown: Pioneers' Plaza on Speedwell Avenue, Cauldwell Park at Clyde Potts Drive and Flagler Street, and the open space near Bishop Nazery Way and Center Street.
