Morristown Homicide Case: Man Charged With Hindering
A Parsippany man faces charges related to the Aug. 18 murder of a Cedar Knolls man, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — Another person now faces charges related to the Aug. 18 murder of a Cedar Knolls man, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.
Myles Dacres, 24, of Parsippany, was charged Wednesday with hindering apprehension or prosecution, arising from the killing of Raijah Scott, according to the Morris County Prosecutor's Office.
There is "no further information available at this time" about Dacres's arrest, according to a prosecutor's office spokesperson.

Morristown police found Scott's body Aug. 18 in the parking lot near 28 Clyde Potts Dr. The 35-year-old Cedar Knolls man suffered multiple gunshot wounds, according to authorities.
The investigation revealed that Tyrell Lansing shot the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene in a vehicle, the prosecutor's office said. Authorities apprehended Lansing, 27, in Oklahoma on Aug. 19.

Lansing, whose last-known address is in Morristown, was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second-degree certain persons not to have weapons or ammunition and fourth-degree possession of prohibited weapons. He's in custody in Oklahoma, pending extradition to New Jersey.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol also apprehended Dequan McDaniel on Aug. 19. The New Jersey Fusion Center asked troopers to hold McDaniel as they worked on filing charges. But no charges for McDaniel have been announced as of Friday. Read more: Morris Co. Homicide: 2 Nabbed In Oklahoma, Authorities Say
