Morristown Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child: Police
The alleged assault took place in 2014, Hanover police said.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A Morristown man has been charged with sexually assaulting a child in 2014, Hanover Township Police said.
Javier Hernandez-Maldonado, of Morristown, was charged with 3 counts of sexually assaulting a child, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, Hanover Police Chief Mark Roddy said. Hernandez-Maldonado allegedly sexually assaulted a female juvenile, police said. Police did not say how or if he knew the girl.

The charges stem from an alleged 2014 incident in Hanover that was not reported until October 2016, Roddy said. Hernandez-Maldonado was arrested on July 6 of this year.
Hernandez-Maldonado was taken to the Morris County Correctional Facility with an upcoming detention hearing.
