Morristown Ringing Daily 'Bells Of Hope'

Four churches in Morristown will ring through the coronavirus public health emergency.

MORRISTOWN, NJ - Mayor Tim Dougherty has partnered with four churches in Morristown to organize a daily ringing of church bells for the duration of the coronavirus public health emergency.

The bells will ring at 1 p.m. each day. Dougherty is asking residents to take a moment out of their day and reflect on what matters most to them and be reminded that there is hope in each new day.

“Right now, we all need a little hope and healing. At 1pm each day, please stop for a moment and enjoy the ringing of the church bells. We have organized the bells not as a religious symbol, but a message of hope and unity for all of Morristown. Remember, we will get through this, and we will be stronger than ever, because we are stronger together,” said Dougherty.

The following Morristown churches will be participating in the Bells of Hope each day at 1 p.m."
