Morristown Teen Nets National Hockey Player of the Week Recognition

It may be 90 degrees outside, but Morristown’s Danny Colon is on the ice, proving his talent transcends the winter season.

Colon, 14, has been named the Youth1.com Player of the Week in hockey for his five goal, two assist performance over the span of 10 games during the Warrior Selects Invitational, an international tournament held in Slovakia. Colon, a member of the New Jersey Colonials Hockey Club, was playing as a member of the East Coast Selects team in the tournament.

Colon was a major part of the Colonials’ recent 64-12-1 overall record last season, which also went undefeated in its AYHL league.

Colon has played as a member of the Selects Q Hockey team in Bolzano, Italy, and has been a “Tier-One” hockey player since 2010.
