Morristown's 3rd 'No Kings' Rally Will Protest Trump, ICE
Participation in Morristown's 'No Kings' rallies has steadily increased, and several thousand demonstrators are expected for round three.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — A third wave of ‘No Kings’ rallies is expected to pop up across the country, including once again in Morristown.
The wave of demonstrations is scheduled to take place on March 28. Morristown’s rally will take place outside town hall, at 200 South Street, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for the third time.
The first wave of No Kings rallies took place in June, not-so-conveniently on the same day as President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday. More than 4,000 protestors in Morristown braved the rain during the inaugural demonstration.

A second wave took place in October, with roughly double the number of Morristown protestors in attendance, around 8,000. This wave of rallies took place during the longest government shutdown in American history.
These protests have been a peaceful, national movement against “authoritarian policies” of President Trump, according to organizers.

“What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever,” a No Kings statement read. “When our families are under attack, and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence.”
Morristown protestors can once again expect several speakers, likely including Mayor Tim Dougherty, live music, and potentially thousands of other demonstrators.
Morristown has been in the crosshairs of Trump policies, specifically immigration policies, as several Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids have swept the town. One January raid led to the detention of a Morristown high school student, who was eventually released after a judge deemed his arrest unlawful.
Morristown’s neighboring municipalities have also felt the repercussions of Trump policies, specifically Roxbury, where an ICE detention facility is being built. The move has been met with bipartisan criticism throughout the Garden State.

Criticism
Many Republicans have outwardly criticized the demonstrations in the past, including the president himself, who posted an AI-generated video of him, wearing a crown, dropping what appears to be feces on the heads of protestors from a fighter jet with “King Trump” written on it.
House Speaker Mike Johnson told Fox News before the October protests that although he is “a very patient guy,” he has “had it with these people.”
He called the protest a “Hate America rally” staged by “all the pro-Hamas wing and the ANTIFA people.”
“They’re all coming out,” Johnson said.
