Morristown's Hockey Champs Honored by State's Leaders

Winning cures all ills, as the saying goes, and it also comes with a whole lot of recognition.

This winter, the Morristown High School Colonials Ice Hockey team won its first state championship, and was honored for the accomplishment by New Jersey’s leaders.

State Assemblymen Michael Patrick Carroll and Anthony Bucco presented coach Bobby Jones and members of the team with a ceremonial resolution on the floor of the assembly last week.

Morristown beat Ramsey 1-0 in early March on a goal in the final minute of the game at the Prudential Center to capture the crown.
