Route 287 Won't Be Clear For Evening Commute: DOT

An overturned tractor trailer will snarl Friday's evening commute too.

HARDING, NJ— An overturned tractor trailer in Harding Twp. will not be cleared before Friday's evening commute, the Department of Transportation said. NJDOT is urging drivers to avoid that stretch of Route 287 Southbound entirely.

A tractor-trailer overturned Friday morning just south of Exit 33 Southbound in Harding Twp, spilling paint across the roadway. The left lane will remain closed throughout the evening commute as NJDOT crews clean up the spill and make guardrail repairs.

NJDOT is advising drivers avoid Route 287 between I-80 and I-78. Heavy delays are expected.
