Morristown Runners Sprint to Top Finishes in Ridgewood Run
Thousands participate in 38th annual Fred d'Elia Run on Memorial Day.
Thousands participated in the 38th annual Fred d'Elia Run in Ridgewood on Memorial Day. Dozens were there from Morristown, including Ben Clarke, 29, of Morristown, who finished third overall with a time of 32:48.51.
In the 5K, he finished seventh overall for mens and for the women, Morristown's Olena Rozhko, 40 and Allison Dublinski, 29, finished second and third, respectively with times of 17:38.48 5:41 and 17:56.25. Dublinski also finished fifth for the Masters Mile Run on the women's side.
Also representing Morristown was Gary Rosenberg, 42, who finished 11th overall and 10th on the men's side with a time of 35:26.40. He was fourth in his age group and he ran as part of team Garmin Runners.

According to the North Jersey Masters website, 19-year-old Lishan Yigezu of the Bronx paced the field in the 10K, winning with an overall time of 29:17.59.
Jane Parks, 60, of Morristown, finished 258 overall but was first in her age group with a time of 46:46.45.

Franz Mitterer, 61, of Morristown, finished 94th overall, but second in his age group with a time of 41:27.07. He ran as part of team Do Run Run.

John Sabatino, 26, of Morris Plains, finished 29th overall with a time of 37:24.41, which was fifth in his age group. He ran as part of team Sneaker Factory.
Patrcik Stewart, 37, of Morris Plains, finished 46th overall with a time of 38:21.59, which was 8th in his age group
Askale Merachi, of Jackson Heights, NY, led the women in the 10K, finishing the race at 34:32.10. New York's Eliud Ngetich was the overall 5K winner. Laurens Molina finished first overall in the 10K wheelchair at 23:46.00. The event was sponsored by the Kessler Foundation. Gimma Gebre, of New York City, won the elite mile with a time of 4:01.77. Garfield's Cheyenne Ogletree had the best women's time at 4:59.23.
The Ricatto family (Henry, PJ, John, Claudia and Pamela), of Ridgewood, had the best overall family time in the 5K.
