Reason Behind Fatal Shooting At Morris County Gun Range Announced
Monday incident is second time in three months someone was shot inside Randolph business.

Authorities have determined the manner of death in the case of a man who fatally shot himself at a Randolph shooting range this week.
The Morris County Medical Examiner’s Office determined the man, 28, died as a result of a gunshot wound to his chest and the cause was a suicide, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp announced.
The man died Monday night at the hospital after shooting himself inside the Route 10 business RTSP Shooting Range, Knapp said.

The call came into Randolph Police at 4:59 p.m. who arrived on scene and found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest, Knapp said. Authorities say the incident is isolated and no other patrons were involved.
Due to the nature of the incident the man’s identity is being withheld.

A 21-year-old died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the same location in September.
