Activity includes a hit-and-run motor-vehicle crash, a report of gunshots, and more.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — The following actions were reported by the Morris County Park Police Department:

SUSPICIOUS PERSON

On Sept. 25, a Parsippany officer was dispatched on a report of a suspicious white male in his 30s or 40s driving around the Central Park area in a black Honda S.U.V. A search of the area was conducted with negative results, police said.

HIT-AND-RUN MOTOR-VEHICLE CRASH

A parked vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle in Hedden County Park in Randolph on Sept. 25. No injuries were reported, police said.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

As of Sept. 26, the Detective Bureau is investigating damaged picnic tables at Lewis Morris County Park in Mendham Township.

REPORT OF GUNSHOTS

On Sept. 27, an officer was dispatched to the Traction Line in Morristown on a report of gunshots in the area, police said. A search was conducted, but officers were unable to find any victims or evidence of gunshots.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On Sept. 28, an officer was dispatched to Central Park in Parsippany on a report of graffiti spray-painted on the bathrooms, police said. The incident was turned over to the Detective Bureau for investigation.

ARREST FOR WARRANTS

An officer was dispatched to Columbia Trail in Washington on a report of a suspicious male on Sept. 29. Through investigation, it was revealed that Michael Forgione, 41, of Washington had two active warrants out for his arrest, police said. Forgione was transported to the Morris County Sheriff's Office.
