Ridgedale Ave Apartment Burglarized In Morristown

An "electronic item" was stolen, police said.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A Ridgedale Avenue apartment was burglarized Friday afternoon, Morristown police said.

The resident came home after 7 p.m. and found that someone had broken into his apartment. Police say the burglary happened sometime between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. An "electronic item" was missing, police said.

A neighbor told police they saw an unfamiliar black car parked in the area between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. They thought it could be a Volkswagen Jetta. The neighbor said there were two men in winter clothing in the area; it was not clear if the car and men were involved in the burglary, police said.

Residents in the Ridgedale Ave and Abbet Ave area were informed of the burglary, and the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact MPD at 973-538-2200.
