Road Closures In Morristown Thursday For 5K
BREAKING: Here's how the road closures will affect you.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — Ahead of Thursday night's Verizon Corporate Classic 5K, Morristown police have announced a number of road closures that could affect your trip home.
Police have announced the following road closures and detours:
- Northbound Rt. 202 will be closed at Harter Rd. beginning at 6:00 pm. The posted detour will be Harter Rd. to James St.
- Southbound Rt. 202 will be closed at approximately 7 pm until 8 pm. The posted detour will be Ann St. to Western Ave. to Bailey Hollow Rd.
- From 7 pm until 8 pm Rt. 202 from Ann St. to Harter Rd. will be completely closed to vehicular traffic. Please make alternate arrangements to travel plans.
- Additionally, Maple Ave. in Morristown will be closed from Miller Rd. to Dehart St.
Detour signs will be posted, and uniformed police officers will be available to assists drivers. You can see an illustration of the detours in the picture above.

Police also shared the race's route:
The race route will run from 37 Maple Ave. to Market St., and then south onto Mt. Kemble Ave. (Route 202.) The route will run south until a point just north of Harter Rd. in Morris Township, and will then retrace the route northbound on Rt. 202 back to 37 Maple Ave.
