Budd Lake Woman Killed In Tuesday Morning Crash
A Long Valley woman was taken to the hospital following the crash and released, police said.

MOUNT OLIVE, NJ — A Budd Lake woman was killed in an early morning car crash in Mount Olive on Tuesday, Mount Olive police said.
Yvonne Riporti-Lombardo, a 62-year-old Budd Lake woman, died as a result of a 6:24 a.m. car crash on Bartley Road in Flanders, Mount Olive police said.
According to police, Riporti-Lombardo drove through a stop sign at the Bartley and River Road intersection. Her 2006 Honda Civic crossed into another lane and was struck by a 2015 Ford Explorer, driven by Melissa Benbrook, 36, of Long Valley.

Riporti-Lombardo's car spun as a result and came to rest on the other side of the road, police said.
A passenger in Riporti-Lombardo's car and Benbrook were both taken to Hackettstown Medical Center for treatment, but neither were seriously injured. Riporti-Lombardo was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

The Mount Olive Police Department was assisted by members from the Morris County Prosecutors Office, Vehicular Homicide Unit and the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigative Section. The Flanders Fire & First Aid Squad and Atlantic Ambulance help with medical treatment.
