Solomon’s Garden: Exploring the Biblical Roots of Holy Land Flora

This in-depth presentation, based on years of research by
author Jo Ann Gardner for her book, "Seeds Of Transcendence: Understanding
The Hebrew Bible Through Plants", explores the native flora of the Holy
Land's symbolic associations in Judaism and Christianity and their herbal uses
and ecological importance. From the bitter herbs of Passover to the Madonna
lily, from the stately cedar of Lebanon to the modest hyssop, this is a garden
of history, spiritual vision, and some of the world’s most beautiful plants. Jo
Ann Gardner has published numerous popular books on herbs and gardening over
the past two decades. For more information, or to register, please visit www.arboretumfriends.org,
