STOMP's Morristown Shows Postponed 1 Year Due To COVID Concerns
With the show postponed, the Mayo Performing Arts Center will reach out to ticket holders about their options.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — STOMP halted its tour, including shows in Morristown, because of COVID-19 concerns. The percussion group had shows scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Mayo Performing Arts Center.
The theater's box office will reach out to ticket holders about their options. The venue rescheduled the shows for Jan. 6-7, 2023, and will relaunch the shows in the future.
Theaters such as the Mayo Performing Arts Center have faced financial obstacles throughout the pandemic because of closures and capacity requirements. MPAC joined dozens of theaters in New Jersey for the "Opening Night, Opening Right" safety campaign, which includes certain requirements for vaccination or negative testing among audience members. All patrons 12 and older attending a performance must show proof of full vaccination or a recent negative test — a PCR or rapid antigen test administered by a medical professional or pharmacy. Face coverings are also required and can only be removed while actively eating or drinking. Mayor Tim Dougherty instituted a mask mandate Dec. 24 by executive order.
