Her friends and co-workers at Applebee's, shocked, paid tribute to the slain N.J. 20-year-old who "would always bring people's spirits up."

With "tears in our eyes," a New Jersey family and friends said goodbye to a 20-year-old girl this weekend, shot and killed while on vacation in Florida.

Bridget Quinn, a Mount Olive native who lived in Hackettstown, was shot and killed at a Florida condo Thursday morning, where another was injured, according to Cape Coral, Fa. police.

A GoFundMe page was set up for the family to pay for funeral expenses, "get Bridget back to New Jersey," and help the family heal.

"We are so sorry for your loss," according to the GoFundMe page, which had raised more than $20,000 by Saturday night. "A beautiful soul had passed, but the memories shall never fade."

The page was put together on behalf of "our entire Applebees crew," where Quinn presumably worked.

"A young girl of just 20 yrs old left us, but a young angel will now forever be looking down on us through her green eyes in blue skies. Bridget's legacy of kindness and genuineness will resonate in our hearts forever."

Quinn recently graduated from Mount Olive High School, where she played tennis. She also attended the County College of Morris. Several years ago, she ran a 5K race in around 35 minutes.

She also enjoyed lacrosse, according to her Facebook page, and she seemed to especially enjoy rooting for the New York Mets, celebrating whenever she could go to a game.

But she was remembered for a lot more, especially her ability to be resilient.

"Bridget would always bring people's spirits up. If she was upset, she'd always bounce back," the GoFundMe page said. "She was a light hearted kind soul. Anyone who met her couldn't say anything less. We can only imagine the pain the family is going through."

Others have paid tribute to Bridget, and memories still linger on social media.
