These Morris Co. Spots Are Some Of NJ's Greatest Italian Restaurants
Three Morris County restaurants made the list of New Jersey's 50 best Italian restaurants in a recent NJ.com article.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Where do you go for good Italian food? Because of the abundance of great Italian food in the Garden State, you're bound to get a different answer each time. NJ.com's recent report on the 50 best Italian restaurants in New Jersey provided some answers.
According to the report, three Morris County restaurants make the top 50.
Scalini Fedeli, in Chatham Borough, ranked 19th, is ideal for an Italian power lunch, according to the report. Scalini Fedeli, which opened in December 1995 by chef Michael Cetrulo, serves modern Italian cuisine with a distinctly French flair.

The restaurant is located at 63 Main St. in a 260-year-old New Jersey farmhouse.

The Pasta Shop, in Denville, ranked 7th, is known not only for its "masterful" blend of classic and contemporary flavors but also for its thoughtful service.
Located at 13 First Avenue, The Pasta Shop is a fine casual neighborhood eatery featuring handmade pasta and wood-fired Italian American classics. The report recommends trying the chicken parm, which is served with pasta in garlic sauce which "adds another element of flavor."
Il Mondo Vecchio, in Madison, was ranked 27th. Il Mondo is another creation of chef Michael Cetrulo, who also owns Scalini Fedeli. The Madison restaurant is more informal than Scalini Fedeli, according to the report.
Il Mondo, 72 Main St #1, is a BYOB landmark that serves traditional Italian cuisine in an antique parlor setting. The vitello all Patrizia, which is veal scallopini topped with prosciutto, eggplant, fontina, and sliced tomato in a sage-infused wine sauce, is recommended by the report.
