President Trump's N.J. Vacation Squashes Special Surprise For Local Campers
The Secret Service told Camp Tamarack they couldn't have the skydivers because President Trump was too close by, BuzzFeed news reported.

RANDOLPH, NJ — What was supposed to be a fun way to start a camp color war competition was nixed by the Secret Service, who told Tamarack Day Camp in Randolph, N.J. they had to cancel a planned skydive by "superheroes" because of President Trump's vacation.
To jumpstart the competition, skydivers dressed up as superheroes were supposed to parachute into the camp as a surprise for the 250 children, BuzzFeed news reported.
Although Sussex Skydive was originally given clearance to fly just one tenth of a mile into the 30-mile wide no-fly zone by the FAA, the Secret Service squashed those plans the morning of the surprise on Thursday, the report said.

"The FAA was fighting for us, but the Secret Service wouldn't even listen," camp director Jessica Grannum was quoted as saying, calling it "really not fair."
The camp even took to Twitter to ask for permission, but to no avail.

Grannum told The Independent the "superheroes" did still visit the camp: councilors dressed up and surprised the campers on the ground.
Color Wars are a friendly intra-camp tradition where campers get divided into different teams with color-themed names.
