Described by the New York Times as “an act of civic engagement,” the play tackles the principles of the U.S. Constitution using humor and hope.

It follows an adult Heidi, the play’s writer, as she “resurrects her teenage self, who earned college tuition by debating the U.S. Constitution.”

Heidi explores four generations of women and analyzes how the country-shaping document affected each of their lives and the societies they lived in.

“Whether you're a history buff, a theater lover, or just someone who enjoys a good laugh with a side of soul-searching, brace yourself for laughter, a touch of chaos, and a front-row seat to democracy like you've never seen,” a Pioneer Productions statement read.

Pioneer’s production is directed by Dan Vissers and stars Miriam Salern as Heidi, Ben Weisman as Legionnaire, and Ashlee Vissers as the Debater.

Tickets to the show can be bought online here, and general admission prices start at $25.
