Woman Accused Of Poisoning Grandmother With Anti-Freeze In Morris County

BREAKING: The woman allegedly poured anti-freeze into her grandmother's juice.

SUCCASUNNA, NJ — A Succasunna woman is accused of attempting to murder her grandmother with anti-freeze, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said in a statement.

Elise Conroy, 26, of Succasunna, is charged with attempted murder for trying to feed her 84-year-old grandmother anti-freeze, Knapp said. Conroy allegedly bought the anti-freeze in late July with the intention of poisoning her grandmother, and later giving her juice laced with the chemical.

She was arrested in the early morning hours of Aug. 12, Knapp said, as part of an ongoing investigation. He did not provide a possible motive.

The investigation is still ongoing, and Conroy is being held in the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court date.
