Woman Presents MTPD Officer Who Saved Her Life With An Award
Marie O'Hare could have died. Thanks to the fast actions of a Morris Township police officer, she survived.

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Morris Township woman presented a lifesaving award at a June ceremony to the police officer who saved her life earlier this year.
Township woman Marie O’Hare suffered a life-threatening medical emergency on March 19, 2018, rendering her unresponsive. Her son and Ptl. Louis Mangiaracina quickly worked to perform CPR and administer shocks through a defibrillator, and she was able to breath on her own shortly after.
On June 20, O'Hare was reunited with Mangiaracina when she presented him with a department lifesaving award, honoring his actions.
