The Ivy Hill Neighborhood Association Facebook page said efforts are underway to assist the families that were displaced. The 18 people — 13 adults and five children — were being housed in temporary shelter by the Red Cross of New Jersey.
Saturday night the association was still looking for hot meals for the families.
"They are currently sheltering at hotels, but they don’t have places to cook their food," the association said. "If there are any restaurants or meal prep services that can provide some hot meals for these families please let us know. We have a community van and we can come pick up items and meals for these families. Thank you. You can reach us at ivyhillna@gmail.com or DM us to donate. Thank you!"
