2022 St. Patrick’s Parade In Newark: These Streets Will Be Closed

The oldest Irish American parade in New Jersey will take place in Newark on Friday.

NEWARK, NJ — Several local streets will be closed for the 2022 St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Newark on Friday, March 11.

The Newark Department of Public Safety released a list of local roadways that will be closed during the parade (closure times are estimated). They included:

  • Lafayette Street between Broad Street and McCarter Highway
  • Columbia Street between Edison Place and Green Street
  • Liberty Street between Lafayette and Green Streets
  • Edison Place between Broad Street and McCarter Highway

11:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

  • Mulberry Street between Market Street and Raymond Boulevard

12:45 p.m.

  • Mulberry Street between Market and Center Streets
  • Center Street between McCarter Highway and Broad Street
  • Central Avenue between Broad Street and University Avenue
  • Clinton Street between Broad and Mulberry Streets
  • Beaver Street between Market and Clinton Streets
  • Commerce Street between McCarter Highway and Mulberry Street
  • E. Park Street between Park Place and Mulberry Street
  • Park Place between Raymond Boulevard and Center Street
  • Rector Street between McCarter Highway and Broad Street
  • Halsey Street, between Washington Place and Central Avenue
  • Washington Street, between Raymond Boulevard and Washington Place
  • Washington Place, between Washington and Broad Streets
