2nd New Jersey Jet In 2 Days Makes Emergency Landing: Reports
Another New Jersey has had an emergency, one day after a plane had to circle the region for nearly 5 hours.
Another jet that took off from New Jersey reportedly had to make an emergency landing – the second time in two days that a plane from the state ran into trouble.
A Spirit Airlines flight from New Jersey to Fort Lauderdale, Fla. made an emergency landing at Jacksonville International Airport on Wednesday morning, according to News12, because of a hydraulic issue.
The emergency came one day after a jet carrying rap star Post Malone and his entourage landed at Stewart International Airport in New York, ending a scary saga after the aircraft blew two tires at Teterboro Airport and then sought a safe landing spot for nearly five hours, the Federal Aviation Administration said Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Jacksonville airport spokesman Michael Stewart told First Coast News that Spirit Airlines flight 521 with 225 people on board landed safely and that no one was injured.

In the Teterboro case, the Gulfstream Aerospace G-4 aircraft landed safely at Stewart International in New Windsor at about 3:50 p.m., said Jim Peters, an FAA spokesperson. The FAA is investigating what caused the plane's tires to blow.
Instagram photos show the rapper on the plane that was initially diverted to Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport in Westfield, Mass., according to the Federal Aviation Administration and other reports. The flight crew decides where a plane should land during an emergency.
The aircraft was carrying 16 passengers when it blew two tires as it took off from Runway 24 at Teterboro at about 10:50 a.m., according to the FAA. The aircraft was heading to London Luton Airport in Luton, England.
Fox News said emergency crews readied to receive the plane at Teterboro after the pilot circled for a time, while burning fuel, but it was then diverted to an airport in Massachusetts. Then, according to the report, the plane was said to be making an emergency landing somewhere in Connecticut before it was diverted back to Stewart Airport in New York.
