Newark Bank Evacuated After Man Gives Teller ‘Tainted’ Cash: Police
Three bank workers were taken to the hospital after they felt sick, Newark authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — A bank in Newark was evacuated on Tuesday after a man handed a teller cash that was tainted with an unknown substance, police said.
Newark police and fire crews responded to the Wells Fargo Bank on Lyons Avenue at 12:09 p.m. after getting a call about a possible Hazmat incident.
The bank was evacuated after employees reported that they felt sick. Three workers were transported to Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for evaluation. Each was reportedly in stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
