Newark Public Schools need to change the graduation requirements.

New Jersey School system have been stressing out the students with the graduation requirements. They been retaining students for not passing one part of a state test. I don't think it's right for them to retain students for not passing a part of a test while they had passed all their classes and completed 60 hours of community service. Everyone is not gifted in Math or English therefore everyone is NOT going to pass.

I for one has been stressed out because I worked so hard for my high school diploma just to find out that I can't receive it. I passed my classes, completed community service and passed the English part of the state test. I failed the Math part of the state test because I'm not gifted in math. I tried my best but obviously trying wasn't good enough. Now they want me to sit in school for another year because I didn't pass this one part of a test. I don't have time to sit in school for another year just to wait for this test to come back around. I currently just received a full-time job that I worked so hard to get and I can't throw it away because of New Jersey School Laws.

They need to realize that everyone have different set of skills and talents therefore, Everyone isn't going to pass and making it harder for next year is just going to make the graduation rate drop even more. All I want is my High School Diploma because I feel that I earned it for all the hard work I did but The Board of Education is keeping me from it because of one test. I don't want to be someone without a High School diploma because of my different skill set. It's not right or fair to these that lack certain skills
