Child Center Opens Free Preschool Applications For Newark Residents

The North Ward Center Child Development Center is in the midst of its student application window for the upcoming school term. To qualify for this highly sought-after program, children must be residents of Newark, New Jersey, and turn 3 or 4-years-old prior to the October 1 eligibility cutoff.

Operating in close partnership with Newark Public Schools, The North Ward Center breaks down educational barriers by offering completely free tuition and daily meals to all enrolled students. Recognizing the demands placed on working parents, the center also offers before-care and aftercare options to seamlessly accommodate family schedules.

"Our goal is to build a stronger community by empowering families with a high-quality educational foundation right from the start," said a spokesperson for The North Ward Center. The program boasts exceptionally high standards of early childhood education. Every classroom is led by a licensed teacher and is strictly capped at 15 students per class. This low student-to-teacher ratio guarantees personalized, individual attention for every child during their crucial developmental years.

Parents and guardians can choose from four convenient campus locations spread across the city:

• 475 Mt Prospect Avenue

Enrollment operates on an active, ongoing basis, but space is strictly limited by the small class sizes.
