Cory Booker Releases Updated ‘Veterans Handbook’ To Aid NJ Residents
The guide offers military veterans in New Jersey tips about how to get health benefits, crisis support services, education and employment.
NEWARK, NJ — U.S. Sen. Cory Booker released an updated version of his annual “Veterans Handbook” on Thursday in an effort to give some guidance about available resources for New Jersey veterans and their families.
The handbook, accessible on Booker’s website here, includes information on health benefits, crisis support services, federal and state education programs, and employment resources. The Veterans Handbook also includes information on the PACT Act of 2022, a new law signed by President Joe Biden that expands Veterans Affairs benefits for former military members who were exposed to burn pits, Agent Orange and other toxic substances.
“America’s veterans have helped to ensure that all Americans can enjoy the benefits of freedom that allow them to reach their fullest potential,” said Booker, a Newark resident. “We owe them and their families an immeasurable debt we can never repay.”
