A crash on the New Jersey Turnpike caused delays near Newark Liberty International Airport on Tuesday morning, authorities said.

NEWARK, NJ — A crash on the New Jersey Turnpike caused delays near Newark Liberty International Airport on Tuesday morning, authorities said.

According to NJ511.org, the crash took place on the outer roadway northbound south of Interchange 13A - Newark Liberty International Airport/US 1&9 (Elizabeth). It blocked the right shoulder of the highway.

As of 8 a.m., there was a three-mile delay in the area, authorities said.

NY511.org said that due to the crash, bus service near exit 13A may experience delays.
