Downtown Newark ‘Burg’ Restaurant Closing Until Spring

The "fast-casual" eatery in Newark's Military Park will reopen with a grand launch of a 100-seat outdoor bar and stone patio.

NEWARK, NJ — The Burg restaurant in Downtown Newark will be temporarily closing until it reopens in the spring, according to a company news release.

The “fast-casual” eatery in Newark's revitalized Military Park will reopen this spring with a grand launch of its newly built, 100-seat outdoor bar and stone patio known as the “Burg Garden.” The venue will continue to be available for private events during the off-season, the release stated.

The restaurant is a concept from the team of chef/owner Chris Siversen and restaurateur Marc Haskell of Maritime Parc in Jersey City's Liberty State Park.
