Essex County Anti-War Protesters Rally Against Syria Missile Strike
"Regardless of how it happened, it is not cause for war escalations," an Essex County organizer says.

NEWARK, NJ — A handful of Essex County residents and opponents of U.S. wars in the Middle East held a rally in Newark on Friday evening after President Donald Trump authorized a military strike that sent 59 Tomahawk missiles soaring into Syria on Thursday.
The rally – spearheaded by local grassroots group NJ Against US War on Syria - was set up late Thursday in response to concerns about the possibility of further escalation toward nuclear war, organizers said.

"There has been no inquiry, yet there is a rush to judgment and call for retaliations,” said Bob Witanek, one of the organizers of Friday’s rally.
