Fatal Stabbing In Essex County; Man Charged With Murder: Prosecutors
Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that took place on Sussex Avenue, authorities said.
NEWARK, NJ — Newark police are investigating a fatal stabbing that took place last weekend, authorities said.
Kevin T. Williams, 34, of Newark, was stabbed late Saturday night on the 200-block of Sussex Avenue. He was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:21 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Michael T. Wylie, 31, has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the stabbing, prosecutors said.

The two men were living in a homeless shelter on Sussex when the stabbing occurred, prosecutors said.
