FedEx Worker Accused Of Newark Airport iPhone Theft
Authorities arrested a FedEx employee for allegedly stealing six iPhones from a building at Newark Liberty International Airport.

Newark, NJ – Authorities arrested a FedEx employee for allegedly stealing six iPhones from a building at Newark Liberty International Airport on Thursday.
According to the Port Authority of NY/NJ, FedEx personnel called officers to Building 347 Thursday morning on a report of a possible theft.
Witnesses told police that when DeAndre Camacho, 21, of Vauxhall, passed his coat through an x-ray machine on his way out of the building, security personnel found a cell phone in his possession… even though he allegedly didn’t have a phone when he arrived.

After examining photographic evidence, authorities allegedly found footage of Camacho removing a cell phone from a conveyer belt and placing it in his pocket, a Port Authority spokesman stated.
Witnesses also accused Camacho of stealing five additional iPhones and hiding them outside with the intention of picking them up later.

While being held in a Port Authority Police Department cell, Camacho allegedly became agitated and destroyed a mattress, authorities stated.
Police charged Camacho with theft and criminal mischief.
