Free Flu Vaccinations Thursday at La Casa de Don Pedro

Horizon NJ Health will be offering free flu vaccinations to any of its member populations over the age of 19 on Thursday from 10 am to 2 pm. The company’s “Care-A-Van” will be at La Casa de Don Pedro, 282 1st Ave.

No appointment is necessary.

“Influenza is dangerous and does not discriminate,”said Dr. Mark Calderon, Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Horizon NJ Health. “Anyone who is not vaccinated can get it and spread it. Even though you may not feel sick, getting a flu shot helps protect your family,  your community and  those who are more at risk, such as young children and the elderly. While the number of children and adults receiving the vaccine is increasing annually, the overall number of individuals getting vaccinated remains relatively low.”
