Greater Newark Conservancy's Fall Block Party This Saturday

Greater Newark Conservancy will host its annual fall block party this Saturday, Oct. 27.

There will be live entertainment and children's activities, including face painting, turkey headbands and a scavenger hunt. Visitors can enter the free raffle to win a festive cornucopia filled with Thanksgiving treats, as well as a pumpkin and sweet potatoes pie contest. There will be free food samples of pies, apples and fresh churned butter.

Healthy produce will also be on sale at the event at 32 Prince St., between Springfield Avenue and South Orange Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
