Halloween Hounds Abound At Branch Brook Park Costume Contest
Check out some photos of the clever and creative costumes that these Essex County dog owners came up with this year.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A skunk. Wednesday Addams. Rainbow Allies. Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. And a curiously canine loaf of Wonder Bread Texas Toast. These were some of the costume ideas that creative Essex County residents came up with for their doggos at the annual “Strut Your Mutt” Halloween costume contest and parade in Branch Brook Park.
Essex County scheduled three of the free events this year at Branch Brook Park (in Newark and Belleville), as well as Brookdale Park and Grover Cleveland Park.
The Branch Brook Park event took place on Oct. 22 and drew a crowd of eager pet owners – and their pooches. See some of the best in the photo gallery above.
