‘Inappropriate Comment’ Made About Man's Wife, Then He Got Cut: Newark Police
A man was outside a local store with his wife when someone "made an inappropriate comment" about his victim's wife, Newark police say.

NEWARK, NJ — Newark authorities are searching for two men wanted in connection with an aggravated assault and stabbing that took place on Saturday.
According to the Newark Department of Public Safety, police responded to the report of robbery in progress at a bodega located 62 Goble. Authorities released the following statement about the incident:
“The 43-year old victim was outside the store with his wife when the first suspect made an inappropriate comment about the victim’s wife and an argument ensued. A second suspect, riding a yellow bicycle, joined in the argument and the victim was struck by the first suspect and cut with a knife by the second suspect. Both suspects then fled the area.”
Police did not describe the alleged "inappropriate comment" that set off the altercation.

Emergency responders transported the victim to University Hospital where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
According to Newark police, the suspects are black men about 5 feet 9 inches with thin builds. The first suspect was wearing a white t-shirt with black sleeves, blue jeans and red sneakers, and has a braided hair style that is parted down the middle. The second suspect was wearing a black T-shirt with a pattern on the chest and blue jeans.
