Job Fair For Newark Airport Includes Retail, Security, Other Positions

NEWARK, NJ — Newark Liberty International Airport will host a career fair for jobs at its new terminal on Wednesday, Sept. 14.

According to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which manages the airport, the job fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Training Recreation Education Center at 55 Ludlow Street in Newark. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.

It’s all part of the airport’s $2.7 billion Terminal Redevelopment Program, which will modernize and replace the existing Terminal A, provide associated roadway and airside improvements and a build a new parking garage.

The Port Authority, which manages Newark Airport, JFK Airport and LaGuardia Airport, has one of the highest minimum wages in the nation at the three facilities. By next year, the salaries of thousands of workers are scheduled to reach $19 per hour.
