Job Fair For Veterans In Newark On Thursday: How To Sign Up
U.S. Rep. Donald Payne Jr. and the Essex County Veterans Subcommittee are inviting the public to attend the job fair.
NEWARK, NJ — A job fair for military veterans will take place in Newark on Thursday, Aug. 24.
U.S. Rep. Donald Payne Jr. (NJ-10) and the Essex County Veterans Subcommittee are inviting the public to attend the job fair, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lt. Gov. Sheila Y. Oliver Conference Center, 60 Nelson Place (14th floor) in Newark.

“The event connects our veterans and their spouses with organizations that need them. We are proud to welcome some of the area's largest employers, such as Federal Air Marshal Service, University Hospital, United States Postal Service, Seafarers international Union, Ports America, ShopRite, PSE&G, Farmland Fresh, New Jersey Civil Service Commission, Goodwill NYNJ, Port Authority of NYNJ, and many more.”
Payne’s office continued:
“Our Job Fair is open to ALL veterans and their spouses who are looking to change jobs or careers. Please note that YOU MUST REGISTER to attend. If you have any questions, please contact Samantha Washington at samantha.washington@mail.house.gov. Once you register, please have multiple copies of your resume ready and wear professional attire to attend the event.”
