Juneteenth Festival Coming To Newark’s South Ward: 2024 Events
The festival will include food, vendors, music, rides, performances and other attractions.
NEWARK, NJ — A Juneteenth festival will take place in the South Ward of Newark on Saturday, June 15.
According to a news release, the event will start at 11 a.m. and end at 7 p.m. It will take place on Bergen Street between Lyons and Nye avenues.

“This cultural celebration represents the freeing of the last African American people from slavery in Galveston, Texas in 1865. There will be something for everyone, food, vendors, live music, amusements, performances, carnival rides, games and more. Also, don’t forget to stop in the health and wellness zone.”
