Junior League Montclair-Newark, Inc Supports Modestly Cover Diaper Bank with matching $1,000 to supply diapers to low income families.
During the holiday season and beyond the Junior League of Montclair Newark Inc. (JLMN) has always helped spread the word by partnering with organizations whose the missions and goals are in alignment. Because JLMN is about " creating better communities for a better future. The JLMN strives to promote the safety and well-being of the children in the Montclair-Newark area. We are actively involved in supporting Foster Care initiatives and Human Trafficking legislation because we understand that our future depends on the flourishing of our communities’ children."
Very close to the JLMN heart is the Modestly Cover Diaper Bank of Essex County whose goal is "KEEPING BABIES FIRST". Their mission is to ensure that families living below the poverty level in low income Essex County have an adequate supply of diapers for their infants, toddlers and seniors. Now, Modestly Cover Diaper Bank of Essex County is looking for cash donations to help provide diapers for those in need.
As a nonprofit and a recognized member of the National Diaper Bank Network, they have access to super special purchasing programs that allow them to obtain the exact sizes and quantities of diapers needed, and most importantly, at deeply discounted rates. MCDBEC provides diapers to social service organizations that are already helping families in need through comprehensive programs and services. MCDBEC has found that distributing diapers in this way ensures they reach those who need them most. It also provides partnering organizations a resource — diapers — they are not normally able to provide, increasing the services they can offer. By working with organizations that are already well established in the community and currently working with families in need, MCDBEC ensures that the diapers collected are distributed to infants and babies in the most efficient and timely manner.

The JLMN is a nonprofit organization of trained volunteers. Through hands-on projects and partnerships, our members build a better community by promoting education, health and wellness, literacy and the arts for children at risk each year. Our service area includes the Essex County communities of Bloomfield, the Caldwells, Cedar Grove, Essex Fells, Glen Ridge, Irvington, Montclair, Newark and Verona.
