Lightsaber Construction Camp: N.J. Science Center Offers 3-D Workshop
Only a foolish Jedi would walk into combat empty-handed. Learn how to make your own lightsaber at this Star Wars-themed workshop.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Only a foolish Jedi would walk into combat empty-handed. But don’t worry. The Liberty Science Center crew can show you how to create your very own lightsaber.
On Saturday, Jan. 28, the Liberty Science Center (LSC) in Jersey City will host the first of a three-part series called “MakerLab: Saber Construction Camp” from 10 a.m. to noon. During the workshops, participants can learn to design and 3D-print their own custom lightsaber… which they can then take home.
The workshop is open to adults and “young Padawans starting at age 10,” according to the LSC.
