Jerry Sorell, 90, when he isn’t playing his violin with extraordinary virtuosity at various concerts, is slamming balls on the tennis court or out there appreciating other music from Springsteen to opera.

Of course, there’s also Jerry’s consulting work as a chemical engineer on projects such as air pollution control systems for oil refineries. All this after having to flee Europe during WWII, only to return as a soldier to fight the Nazi regime, never losing his love of the violin.

After the war, he became the lead violinist of the Princeton University Orchestra where he prepared for his career as a chemical engineer. A cancer survivor, Jerry is nonetheless full of life, good humor and energy. A fantastic example for us all!
