Newark police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing, 49-year-old man.
Albert Smith, 49, of Newark, was last seen on Sunday on the 200-block of South 6th Street. He was reported missing Monday, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Police said Smith is 6 feet 2 inches and 170 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and a dark-brown skin complexion. He was wearing a black hat, a gray sweatshirt with a hood, beige and brown boots, and gray pants.
Authorities said Smith is known to frequent Estella Supermarket at 300 South Orange Avenue and High Hope Missionary Baptist Church at 135 Halstead Street.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website at https://npd.newarkpublicsafety.org or through its smartphone app.
