FOUND: Missing Newark Teen May Be In NYC, Camden, Police Say

Two missing person cases were reported in one day in Newark, including a case involving a teen girl.

UPDATE: Jamaya-Miller Long has been found, police announced on April 28. Our original article follows below.

NEWARK, NJ — Two missing person cases were reported in Newark on Monday, including a case involving a teen girl.

Jamaya-Miller Long, 15, of Newark, was last seen on March 25, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety (see photo above).

Long has run away from home before. She was last seen on the 600-block of Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard in Newark, and is known to frequent Camden and New York City, authorities said.

Long is Black, 5 feet 6 inches and 150 pounds with brown eyes and black hair, and has piercings in her nose. She was wearing two brown puffer jackets, brown Ugg boots, and black leggings, police said.

Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Anonymous tips can also be made using the Police Division’s website.

WOMAN REPORTED MISSING

A separate missing person case was reported in Newark earlier on Monday.

Christina Omogor Onunu, 36, of Newark, was reported missing on April 1, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety.

Onunu, who has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, was last seen around 2 p.m. on April 1 in the area of Hobson Street near Nye Avenue in Newark, police said.

Onunu is Black, 5 feet 7 inches and 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black sweater and black sweatpants, police said.
