Motorcycle Collides With SUV In Essex County; Rider Dies: Police
The driver of the SUV stayed on the scene and wasn't injured in the crash. No charges have been filed, police say.

NEWARK, NJ — A motorcyclist died after suffering injuries in a crash with an Jeep Cherokee on Saturday evening in Essex County, authorities say.
The crash took place around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Fairmount Avenue, according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office and the Newark Department of Public Safety.
When police arrived on the scene of the collision, they found a motorcyclist with serious injuries. Emergency responders transported the man to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:05 p.m., prosecutors said.

Authorities later identified the deceased man as Kyle L. Garvin, 32, of Newark.
