The Movement: an a cappella Musical
A tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Newark Public Library, 5 Washington Street, January 16
The Diversity Youth Theater will present two performances of The Movement: an a cappella Musical, in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The piece, by Kathy D. Harrison, was inspired by the Children’s Crusade, a 1963 protest in Birmingham, Alabama, in which children risked their lives to demonstrate against segregation.
