New Jersey Restaurant Creates 'Jumbo Bagel' (VIDEOS)

HOBOKEN, NJ — You’ve got to give it to New Jersey. When the Garden State does bagels, it really does bagels.
The family-owned O’Bagel in Hoboken has created the “Jumbo Bagel,” a hand-rolled feat of doughy engineering that’s as big as a car tire and can feed about two dozen people. Each bagel is boiled and baked in the same process as its smaller counterparts. Customers can then add toppings of their choice such as scrambled eggs and bacon, or the quintessential Jersey breakfast meat, Taylor Ham.
“We started the Jumbo Bagel because we wanted to do something innovative, something different than what all Italian delis were doing in Hoboken,” chef and co-owner Stephen El Hassen told Thrillist.com.
