Newark Beth Israel Hospital Board Elects New Chairperson
The Board of Trustees of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children's Hospital has a new chairperson: Francis Giantomasi.

NEWARK, NJ — The Board of Trustees of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital has a new chairperson: Francis Giantomasi.
Newark Beth Israel administrators announced Giantomasi was elected to the board’s top slot on Tuesday. Giantomasi, a member with Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG) of West Orange, has served as vice chair on the Newark Beth Israel Board since 2015.
His colleague, Marc Berson, will now transition to chairman emeritus of the Newark Beth Israel board and assume the role of chairman of the Board of Trustees of RWJBarnabas Health.

“I am tremendously thankful to Marc for his visionary leadership and major contributions, and am dedicated to working closely with the leadership at Newark Beth Israel and RWJBarnabas Health to continue to position this anchor institution as a catalyst for change during this unprecedented era of growth in Newark,” Giantomasi said.
“We are honored to welcome Frank into his new role as chairman of the Board of Trustees,” said Darrell Terry, president and CEO of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey.

“In addition, we thank Marc Berson for his visionary leadership over the course of the last 15 years, at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, and congratulate him on his new role within our RWJBarnabas Health system,” Terry said.
“We are extremely fortunate to have the expertise and leadership of both Marc Berson and Frank Giantomasi at RWJBarnabas Health and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey,” said Barry Ostrowsky, president and CEO at RWJBarnabas Health.
